Project Engineer / Project Manager / Sales Engineer

Description:

We are looking for somebody who can bring a range of skills, experience and flexibility to a role that spans system engineering, project management, customer support engineer and sales support. We need good all-round skills with an excellent mathematical, engineering or physics background, coupled with industry experience, ideally in a software or radar-related business. The role will be varied and challenging and we are looking for an individual that can work effectively in a small company, where you will help contribute to our continued growth.

Required:

  • Excellent first degree (maths, engineering, computer science preferred)
  • 2-5 years industry experience
  • Software background preferred
  • Willing to travel to customer sites

Software / Systems Engineer

Description:

Founded in 2007, Cambridge Pixel is an established developer of specialist software and hardware products for radar and video processing and display, with applications in commercial shipping, drone detection, air traffic control and security markets.

We are looking to expand our team with a Software/Systems Engineer with proven capabilities in the design and implementation of complex display solutions, ideally based on C++ or .NET programming in Windows or Linux.

We are a small company and we are looking for a key individual who can bring a range of skills. You must be prepared to learn quickly, work flexibility, adaptively and contribute in a number of business areas including development, sales support and customer support. As a developer, you will become involved in a wide-range of project activities including interfacing to radars and cameras, developing algorithms, system integration and building user-interfaces. You will also provide technical support into the sales process, support customers using our products and be prepared to travel to customer sites to provide technical expertise. The multi-faceted nature of the role offers challenges, learning opportunities and excitement to the right candidate.

Located in a modern office building in an out-of-town location near Royston, Herts, we offer a very competitive salary, excellent performance-related bonus and a full range of benefits.

Key Requirements:

  • Good degree in engineering, computing or maths
  • Team player. Willingness to share with others and learn from others.
  • Some experience with radar, video, image processing or complex HMI development desirable
  • Organised, professional approach to work
  • C++ software experience (3 years commercial)
  • Commercial experience in ISO-9001 quality environment
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites for short trips
  • Flexible attitude and willingness to multitask
  • Enthusiasm and interest in what we do. Desire to learn.
